Americans are increasingly turning towards renewable energy. Recent changes in the climate have lead scientists to believe that our consumption of petroleum, natural gas, coal, and other non-renewable sources of energy is contributing to global warming. The recent drought in California is a startling indicator of how volatile our global climate is becoming. For these reasons and more, Americans are slowly but surely leaning toward environmentally-friendly forms of energy such as hydroelectric power, wind power, and solar power.
